Our friend Will Edmonds from CNN visited the Training Think Tank to ask Noah Ohlsen’s coach Max El-Hag his thoughts about the 2019 CrossFit Games. We have that link for you

The second workout of the International Online Qualifier has been released. This qualifier is the means to qualify for the CrossFit Filthy 150, the Southfit CrossFit Challenge, WODAPALOOZA, and the CrossFit Atlas Games. The workout is as many rounds and reps as possible in sixteen minutes of:

  • 40 Alternating Dumbbell Snatches
  • 40 Pull-Ups
  • 30 Dumbbell Burpees
  • 30 Chest-to-Bar Pull-Ups
  • 20 Devil’s Presses
  • 20 Bar Muscle-Ups

Men use 50-pound dumbbells and women use 35-pound dumbbells.

Our forearms hurt just thinking about it.

Men’s Journal did some instagram stalking of ten CrossFit Games athletes to figure out what their favorite workouts are. Alec Smith, two-time CrossFit Games individual athlete and member of CrossFit Krypton, the second-fittest team on earth, has announced he is gay. We don’t normally report on athlete private lives, but we wanted to wish Alec the best and show our support. Smith took to Instagram in an open and emotional post. We love him for it and have nothing but respect for the guy we know is secretly Batman. This guy is going to win the CrossFit Games someday. Follow him @alecsmith8 on Instagram and get to know an amazing human.

Today’s CrossFit mainsite workout is a rowing interval. Row row row your erg. Four rounds for time of a 500-meter row, followed by three minutes of rest.
