Government overreach on laws over the human body
We must find a compromise on embryonic right to life without infringing on a woman’s right to her body, her choice, and her health. This goes beyond the Roe v. Wade guarantee of abortion rights to women in 1973, and should extend to whether the government has the power to dictate the decisions a woman can make regarding her own body without also placing the same restrictions and limitations on the decision-making capacity of men.
Furthermore, restrictions on any reproductive rights of males or females represent drastic governmental overreach and are similar to one-child laws found in much more totalitarian nations. This is not an American ideal, and any restriction on the human body should never be considered.
